As the end of summer vacation is drawing near, I am thrilled to announce the arrival of our new FULLY ANIMATED version of our CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT DVD! My husband Greg has been working tirelessly with our office staff to create this updated DVD that has become a favorite of so many teachers. And I absolutely LOVE that it has not only animation, but new, young, multi-cultural actors and actresses demonstrating the movements for us. Frankly, there is just no denying that they are MUCH better performers than I ever was!
Now just in case you are wondering, the content of the DVD is exactly the same as the previous Classroom Management DVD. The songs are the same and the lyrics are the same. However, we do have a section at the end of the DVD with REAL CHILDREN filmed in a classroom that are doing many of the same activities that are spoken about in the songs, such as lining up, playing outside and then freezing when the bell rings, raising their hands, and so on. (The Classroom Kids section does NOT include ALL of the regular Classroom Management songs, but it does include most of them.)
We actually filmed these clips at my daughter’s church in a preschool classroom, using a few students that had been in my class the year before! So a great big special hug goes out to Alicia, Marlyn, Noelle, Gage, Henry, and Zach. They did a wonderful job!
We filmed the children doing these scenes several years ago with the intention of doing this kind of DVD in the first place, but it turned out to be far too expensive and time consuming for us at that time. I’m so glad that we were able to pull it together now, though! I hope that the children will enjoy watching these “extras” from time to time!
These “Classroom Kids” videos are not really meant to show you how to do the movements; I would use the other video clips with our new young actors for that. However, they are lovely examples of what it is like to be in school, and they convey the idea that school is a happy place for children to be. And I really LOVE that aspect of them! And the children themselves are soooo very beautiful! I do miss each of them, and I cherish the memories I have of teaching them.
