These worksheets give children a fun and simple way to practice number writing, counting, and number recognition from 0-10! Kids love these silly monsters and robots, and this set of easy worksheets gives them multiple ways to practice. The number TRACING AND WRITING pages are particularly effective; Heidi used them all the time before she retired! These worksheets are simple enough for Pre-K, TK, and K and are a class favorite- especially amongst the boys since they are filled with robots, friendly monsters, and creatures.

There are THIRTEEN pages dedicated to each number, so you'll be able to pick and choose the ones that are best for your class, considering their levels and the time allotted. This will also give you plenty of options to reteach and review for any children who might need it.

These worksheets include a weekly lesson (one per number from 0 to 10) that takes children from CONCRETE to SYMBOLIC to the ABSTRACT concept in just ten minutes. These steps are the missing link for many children who may be able to complete a worksheet but retain almost nothing simply because it doesn't make sense to their early childhood brains quite yet. This method worked every year for Heidi in Kindergarten and TK (Transitional Kindergarten.)

Includes 160 pages of number recognition and formation worksheets and activities: There are 13 different pages for every number from 0 to 10!

What's Included:
  • "Count, Clap, and Jump Booklet": These color pages have one rhyme for each number 0-10 to count, clap, and jump as you count up to that number! (See the preview! These are FUN!) Heidi printed them and made them into a book to read and jump along! The pages could also be displayed electronically.
  • One page per number in black and white with the counting rhyme and creature. Kids loved to choose their favorite and color it during their playtime! You could also use these pages for the "Count, Clap, and Jump" booklet if you cannot print in color.
  • One page to be used by placing real objects on it to count, and then draw with dry erase markers in a sleeve. These pages make a GREAT directed lesson, and there is one for every number, giving you one lesson per week for eleven weeks. This is perfect for fans of teaching the Number of the Week! The lesson plan is included in the instructions.
  • One follow-up page for the lesson above to use as independent or guided practice. Kids read the number and draw that many objects (such as eyes, arms, or antennae) on the creature.
  • One page to search for and circle the target number.
  • One color-by-number page. If done correctly, the number will appear!
  • One fun color-by-number page with a Counting Creature on it.
  • One page to trace and write the target number multiple times.
  • One page to count the creatures' body parts, circle the number, and write it.
  • One Cut and Glue page to search for sets of the target number and glue them into place. After that, children practice writing that number.
  • One page to draw the target number of objects in each box, and then trace and write the number.
  • One page with different sets of objects. Children circle yes or no to answer the question, "Is it a set of ____?" Then, they write the number.
  • One page to count the creatures and write the number.
